not dead

It's been too long since I updated my page, and I just wanted to bring the world up to date, that I am currently alive and not dead. Filming, school, work and dating have occupied every waking moment I have had...
we are not far from finished with the current film, and mine is entering the first stages of pre-production. So perhaps sometime in the next few years you will all get an invite to the screening of my movie.
that's it for now.

hasta luego!

Something to fill the gap

I need to get back to writing, I have gotten off track along the way and it is turning into a far more complex task than I have imagined.

Usually the best thing to get me writing is a good read. Any suggestion's for the next book to read?

In my head :(

So lately I have been mulling over shots that I want to use for some of the projects that I am slated to direct, and it occurs to me that I have an extremely twisted imagination, and could probably use therapy in the future...

Man is there some twisted shit just mulling around in my head! Thank God that movies effectively convey emotions without the repercussions of real life. I suppose, (just like everyone else I know) I will mellow out, once my lovelife settles itself into something less tumultuous. However until then it's reasonable to expect my pent-up sexual frustration to manifest itself on screen.
(Clarification: not in an obscene way, that's never really been my thing...)

Currently I am adapting the bible into a western. It should be interesting, and will probably be banned from distribution in many places. According to those I have run the idea by, I have a penchant for overly stylized characters reminiscent of American McGee... While this is a compliment, it also could keep many viewers from appreciating my work, or identifying with the characters. So we'll see where the project ends up after the script is complete.

A Quote and a Question about stuff.

Random thought:
there are days when good things just keep happening... there are days when good things happen... and then there are days where nothing good happens, no matter how hard you try...

completely different subject:
Does anybody know of a cheap place to buy a decent laptop computer? I need one so that I can do homework and such at work.

I must share these!

I copied these from the forums at questionablecontent.net
one of the users took them off of bash.org

Reuben: somebody keeps jiggling the doorknob on my front door, then running away
Reuben: i don't know if i should call the police, or hook up some
electricity to the doorknob
Cristobal: why don't you put ice on the stairs
Cristobal: and heat up the door knob
Cristobal: and swing paint buckets down from your two story foyer
Cristobal: then a few years later, fade from the public eye.....

And....

So... um. Yeah.. I suppose this is the title

Now is the time when I have actually figured out what to do with myself. It turns out that the more I have looked into my life and how I live it, I have always taken certain directions towards goals that I never really recognized... until now. I now know that a four year degree is in my future, and my field of study will no longer be communications. It will be a double major in art and psychology. Both Fields are something I have long been interested in and often pursued heavily while ignoring classes that may have better suited my major. I suppose I have Leah to thank for this, her recent internship has made me look at where I am in relationship to the goals I have always held.
Those goals have not changed, I am still 100% vested in making movies, and equally vested in my current film company. But I am no longer just assuming that I can achieve these goals my own way... I have come to realize that certain steps must be taken to further my career and life the life I have chosen. Many others besides her have served as examples in my life, and I am not saying that she is the sole catalyst for the changes I hope to implement, but the opportunity she has been granted made me fully grasp the opportunities I have squandered out of pride or foolishness may still exist.

it is time that I seized the many opportunities available to me, without the hesitation that previously plagued my decisions. Some how this all feels like the right decision to make at this time. Now all that remains for me to do is complete what schooling I have left at SAC and choose the school in which to achieve my new goals.

I feel like a million dollars.

Somethings in life don't get much better. My dad and I had the first real conversation we've had in years tonight. We sat outside smoking the cigars I bought him for father's day, and celebrated the Spurs victory.... It's amazing to me how good moments like that just sort of come along every so often. I just thought I should share this with the rest of the world. :)

almost free

7 days from now I will be unemployed yet again. It's one of those things that I am alternately ecstatic and frantic about... First, I don't have to go to work everyday for that tyrant Nader, second I have to find another job or I will have to give up many of my liberties. So I am more than a little apprehensive over the whole thing, but still very happy to be free of my old job.

If anyone knows of places that are hiring, I would be most grateful... but till I find another job I am gonna enjoy my pseudo-vacation.

Schedule Delays

The construction of the set for our current movie is once more delayed... this time we simply didnt have the resources to finish the set. I can't wait for the day when this company is sucessfull enough that we wont have the these problems. Anyways, if anyone is interested in a first hand look at how movies are made, I am sure we will need some extra help before this is done... feel free to gimme a call.
I also cant wait till we are sucessfull enough to date supermodels and drive Ferarris, but for now one step at a time.

Sttay puft goodness

I have decided that the single greatest movie villian to ever exist simply must be the Staypuft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters.

Those of you who wish may argue, but nothing beats the sweet marshmallowy goodness of victory against the Staypuft man.

I am currently torn between two jobs...
I can either remain at the Hookah Cafe and have one of the coolest jobs that I can think of (even with the way they treat me).
Or I can go work at the Blue Cactus Cafe for at least a dollar more an hour, and a much better schedule (but I will have to be a bus boy and wash dishes)

if any of you have any input as to which of these will be the better choice I would love to hear it.

Bunny Love

conditional quote of the week
Kelly:"If I were reincarnated as an animal i would like to be a cat in my grandmas house... they are spoiled."
Me: "With all the sexual frustration in my life, I only think it's fair that I would be reincarnated as a bunny."

Somehow that conversation kept me smiling all through work today, hence it should be recorded for posterity.

Incubus at 4am

Sometimes the beginning of summer is the roughest part of vacation.
This week has been a taxing one, yet I still feel like a million dollars. Between finals and the intense work schedule that has accompanied the change in management at my job, I feel like shit. (I was trying real hard to make a good comparison, oh well). Maybe sleep will make it more bearable, yeah, maybe I'm a chinese jet pilot. Anyways, if you don't hear from me for a while I'm not dead, just unconscious.

old news

Have you ever worried that you didn't care about something?I got worried that I didn't care about this semester at school , and it managed to shake me up for a few days. Now I'm told for most students this isn't an uncommon experience, but it was a first for me.
Contrary to popular belief; my philosophy on education is to care about it, but not worry. So needless to say I was shaken by this.
I know, I've already told most of the people who read this about that, but I had nothing else to put into he update so I thought I'd share this with those of you that didn't know already.

I love you all.
