just news... nothing else really

Lately I haven't been myself but, I think that's not necessarily a bad thing.

In brief news some really cool developments are fleshing themselves out in the coming weeks:
First the music video that I shot for Desdemona's CD release party is gonna premier on Saturday at the White Rabbit.
Second I am beginning to realize some things about myself that I previously refused to admit...
Lastly I also am going to go register for fall classes today.
           I have no idea what I am going to take, but the important thing is I am finally taking this seriously.

Howdy dammit!

Hey everyone, just thought I would say "hello".
I feel like being sociable, for no particular reason at all... not that I really need a reason.
This generally leads to lots of me calling the rest of you, to see if anyone wants to hangout.

I seem to do this, about once every month or so, just as

 a way of reaffirming to myself  that I haven't turned myself over completely to a life of solitude...That said if there is anyone I have over looked calling, who would like to hangout sometime in the near future, feel free to call me.

Just a quick rant...
I recently got a new job doing advertising for a small chemical company... And now that the excitement of the new job is wearing off, trying to finish my first flyer for the company is driving me to edge of reason. Not because its a hard job, but rather because my computer is crashing every time I go to finish the layout for the flyers.
I hate being dependent on technology!

Feeling rational for once

Isn't the delete button a wonderful invention.... Now if only it would work on peoples memories as well as the archives of my BLog.
I just deleted a fiery post about me having only six hours this week at work (it's not even a long enough shift to get a lunch break) to say the least I was furious. Currently I am calm enough to separate my common sense from the rage I was feeling when I had originally posted, hence I can explain why I deleted the post, and still vent my frustration at the company and its management.
In short, I am still furious, and prone to stupidity over the course of events... But rational enough to at least attempt damage control. I even had a moment of boredom/stupidity earlier this evening and can thus sit and objectively view things. Somehow I always do better once I have worked the stupidity out of my system.
All that said I'm still pissed at the situation. I just am also feeling rational enough to leave it at that, and not jeopardize other aspects of my life. Hence I am proud of myself.

Just some thoughts....

I don't have much to say today, so instead of a post, here are two thoughts that occurred to me while talking to my boss. Both these statements are my own... not qoutes from others.

The greatest argument I can think of against gun control is Darwinism.

The reason I'm not gay, is men are stupid and another man in my life would just double my stupidity.

Not only am I proud of having thought these up but, both of these statements entertained her and I enough that I decided to share them.

better than expected

I had the strangest/coolest thing happen to me today...
 

the other day I  met a very attractive girl and we talked for a while and really seemed to hit it off. I thought she said her name was Linda, but it wasn't...

(matt may know her real name. If you do please call me)

  well today she comes into the store and we're talking as I make drinks, when I decide to ask her out for dinner sometime; only I call her the wrong name (I said Linda).

 

ok.. There was no mistaking the fact that I called her the wrong name, she even looked at me to see if I was talking to someone else in the room. Realizing my mistake, I decided to just keep going... After all maybe she would correct me. Nope. She just looked at me for a while and said something about going on a camping trip next week, (and I just inwardly sighed at my own ineptness) ; when suddenly I realize that she is now asking me if we can do it later, and wanting to know if I will be available next week.

 

 

I know, it's one of those silly things, and exactly what most women would say if they were too kind to say "no". Yet somehow I am ecstatic that she would even give me the time of day after messing up something as big as her name.

I suppose the moral of the story is, I really should pay more attention to peoples names. ;) 

Childish communication complications, clog careful considerations...

Something tells me that, though I had a good day today, my wonderful plans have now backfired. I will, of course, wait and see if they will work themselves out.. or I shall have to conceive a more singular course of action. Regardless, I have learned that, there are those who would make matters more difficult than they need be.

for now, all I can say about the situation is this:
wish me luck, for the happiness of others depends upon my coming to common ground with all involved.

Friends

Lately I've been finding that the world of my friends grows smaller, as the circles of my friendship expand...
I spend more time with less people, yet somehow am more involved with those I fail to spend as much time with. My friends are currently so interconnected that people I had only recently thought to be more than acquaintances have in some form been involved with my life for years.... Stories and jokes I had long thought to be the ghosts of memories now live in different perspectives!

That's one of those cool things about life.
The longer it lasts, the more it goes on.
