General improvements abound

Just something different for those of you who know me, I have been going to the gym and lifting weights 3xs a week. The two things that make this both interesting and relevant are that; my ex-girlfriend Leah, (who has been accompanying me to the gym for companionship and encouragement), and I have been going to my gym where she isn't a member by using my brothers membership and saying that she is me and I am john. The second part that is interesting is, I have never managed to maintain a fitness program before for this long. So I am very proud...
that said I hurt and am going to sleep.

You Are 21 Years Old

21

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

never call twice

You should never express your intrest in someone by calling them twice in one day, no matter how good the reason. sounds simple enough. it's not. the phone is this tantalizing plaything that brings us closer to the ones we love, and allows us to use that lack of distance to make an ass of ourselves... anyways i just thought i would share my thoughts on the matter.

maybe I can keep the damn thing out of my hands long enough to not look like a fool. maybe. till then, heres wishing you all sweetreams, and anonymous call return.

Hunter S. Thompson is dead. . .
Gone is the journalist that once defied and defined American story telling with offbeat reverance for the story as he saw it. with him dies Raul Duke. with him dies gonzo journalism. with him dies a piece of our collective intelligence.
His passing strikes me as more than that of a normal man, it was the passing of a beloved character in a novel. My favorite character is dead.

Voices from the past.

Yesterday I was at my friend Jordan's computer shop, trying to get my quickdrive memory stick fixed. (I had corrupted the disk and erased all the data I needed for school). When suddenly a girl walks up to me and throws both her arms around me, and says my name. After a few seconds of shock, the greeting suddenly registers with me, and I realize that she's an old acquaintance from highschool, Natasha Klatt. She had recognized me walking through the parking lot, and wanted to say hello to me. She was one of those people that I always thought I would never forget... You know the kind of person. In highschool, I was one of those people that somehow seemed like they would fade from memory the second they left the room. Yet she remembered me when I could barely place her face until she said her name. Funny how life is that way.

We go through life convinced that some things never change, still believing that we ourselves change constantly, then we find out one day it's really the opposite... we never change, but our frame of reference shifts constantly.

Ok... as expected, a quick valentines bitch!

Just between all of you and me, I like valentines day. It's a bit over-hyped and way too commercial, but I still feel like it's a good day; but like any commercial holiday, I must bitch about part of it, so here we go.

Problems associated with valentines day:
  1. It occurred on a Monday, Mondays generally suck, so this obviously ruined a perfectly good holiday.
  2. the weather was perfect and we were all stuck inside because it was Monday (see #1)
  3. they give chocolate to the couples...

the chocolate thing annoys me for one reason, chocolate is a mood elevator... I.E. There is no fucking reason to give chocolate to all the happy couples, you should be passing out that chocolate to all the depressed idiots who put way too much stock into valentines day. Most importantly the chocolate would shut all the complainers up as they would not be able to talk with their mouths full... full of delicious endomorphine producing chocolatey mood elevators. mmm.... :) lastly, happy couples do not need chocolate, they need to be left alone; this keeps them happy, and we should respect that about them.

Movie news

I just got back from a production meeting with my film company, we are in need of assets, I.E. crew, locations, and props, so if you hear anything from me over the next few days, it may just be me begging for stuff. J/K.

Actually we are preparing for a preview screening of our first film, Mick's Place, it will be at 8 pm. on Feb 12th in the Retama room of the 1604 UTSA campus... hopefully many of you will be there. I am very excited.
If anything changes I will be sure to post updates. Wish us luck.
